The University of Benin, Staff School was founded in 1972. It is located in the main campus of the University of Benin to the west of the Faculty of Engineering.

It is bordered by A Quarters in the south and B Quarters to the north. At the back of the school where the main soccer pitch is located is the Ekosodin Quarters, which borders the school in the west.

The school colors are purple and pink. It is made up of eight main sport houses, which are Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, and Yellow Houses. The teachers belong to White House while the Kindergarten pupils are in Rainbow House.
