I so miss it and I would like to hear from those who went there back in the 80's. Uniben staff school and UDss in the 90's...

Happy Easter to all my friends in Benin. This site is improving. It was nice to view the pictures of UDSS. Brought a lot of memories back. I don't have any, so its something I can show my friends and family. Hi to Michael and Mrs Iyoha.
I'm pleased to visit your website. I happily identify with you all. For some of you that did not get to know me at UDSS, I was biology/integrated science teacher 1985 to 1990. I'm currrently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Benin. I can see that more information is needed for your website. Feel free to contact some of us and we will be happy to get you what you require. By the grace of God I visit US at least once a year and can be of assistance. CONGRATULATIONS EDO FOLKS!
I stumbled over your site and I must congratulate you on your ingenuity. I'd love to hear from any 'Hussey college'girls from year 1982/83. This is the 'social prefect' saying hi & long time no see. Keep up the good work & God bless
i was expecting more from my school. i hail all my grade 11 students.
Please, anyone seen the dilapidated state of UDSS I almost though it was actually the pictures from one of those “other schools” (no beef please). Can anything be done to improve the standards making it like it used to be?

I am a researcher whose research interest in women studies. So, i am interested in the cases involving Edo girls in prostitution. I would like to know if you think the Idia Rennaissance has the answer to the problem. I think we should stop the yoruba woman is the prostitute or the Edo woman is -- it is a Nigerian problem which needs a solution. I would be glad if this contact endures. Kemi

I am American, but my father is Nigerian, and I have always longed to know more about our home and culture. This has been very helpful and warming.

We are an EU affliated NGO working to bring a paradign shift to the polity of Nigeria and especially Edo State. We seek to promote the upliftment of the family and the development of the community by drawing attention to the potentials of the individual to harness and maximize the God given reasources that abound in our environment. We target one bread-winner in one family at a time. We seek to creat breadwinners in todays disenfranchased and disillutioned youths by encouraging them to acquire employable skills beyound literacy and numeracy skills which are no less important and develop the indegenous vocations and crafts of our forbears which is the only foundation for industrilizaton that we have as Edo people. We seek donations in cash and kind and especially in materials and tools to start up vocations such as joinry, plumbing, masonry etc. We also offer adhoc but short term aid in blankets, sweaters, clothes, food rations, toileteries, used motor-bikes, buses, house-hold items, etc to the less priviledged. God bless you as you keep the faith and help a family in need.

Nice site EHI, more power to you. I love the site and the incorporating of old and new issues surrounding the edo people and other parts of africa as well. The only thing missing is a picture gallery. Maybe of yourself, members of your site, edo events such as the Annual Convention, and more color, it would really improve its appeal. Great job and best of luck looking forward to seeing more from this site. God Bless
This site rock!! and i would like to thank you for providing the site it is a plesure to see african's doing what they do best.
Disappionted, actually since Presenatation National High School(Presco) Was not added to you list of school in Benin. SO which kind bad belle be dat? So those of us that went there are not EDO Natives Do something about it.
Hello, I do appreciate your concern about 419 e-mails. The purpose was for friends to find friends on Nigerian sites, but some barstards see it as an easy oppourtunity to try their luck the evil way. You see, by removing your entry or your e-mail defeats the purpose of the site because your friends would not be able to contact you. If I do the same for everyone, then we are losing to these criminals. It is just a part of life. Evil will always try to take advantage of Good, but we must not let them win. God Bless.
Nice work. I like the style or it. the only thing missing dat i've seen in many nigeria sites is a picture gallery. Maybe of Edo events (edo national conventyion), arts, people, yourself, or members of your site, stuff like dat. Add more color to the site. to me its a little bland but otherwise everything else is great the topics, articles well done. Looking forward to more God BLess and Good Luck.
Thanks for suggesting more pictures, I will try to improve on that. If anyone has a business to advertise, please go to http://www.edofolks.com/banner If you want to support the cause of Edofolks, please visit us at http://www.edofolks.com/gift God bless.
I finished from UDSS in 1989.its a great web site. God bless you
Koyo to all A friend recently informed me of this site. He wanted to show me the info on the origin of Oduduwa. I ama Bokonon (High Priest) in the Fa/Ifa tradition. I was born and raised in the United States and I am always in search of new historical and spiritual inforation concerning Ifa/Vodn in particular and West Afrika in general. You have definitely given me a tool to use. For some time now I have been researching and illustrating how various practices and deities came from different tribal ethnics. I plan on researching this in more detail. Please visit my site, New Afrikan Vodun, at: http://www.newafrikanvodun.com Thank you.

If you are interested in putting your information in the guestbook please do so. Do not be discouraged by the EVIL individual posting unwanted links in our guestbook or those sending you 419 e-mail. They will NEVER win unless you let them. This is the very foundation making our society inferior to others. A few EVIL ones discrediting our positive agendas and we all submitting to it. God forbid. Keep posting. God bless.

I was dismayed to discover that I could not find much information on the web until I found your website. Thanks for all the information that you have gathered here. It has been instrumental in aiding me in understanding my brother-in-laws culture and homeland.
I am trying to locate kriswear designs. I met Kris in London 2 years ago and was impressed with his work. I have not been able to make contact and would like to see what designs he has available and also find out if he has any plans of holding any more fashion shows in London. I met him at the Ghana Expo in London

It was informative. Good job.
An amazing site indeed! I have deliberately given 8 out of 10 points in order to allow for further improvement. Edofolks.com has actually refreshed my memory and in my opinion, it is a site which every son and daughter of Edoid origin should visit in order to have a rendezvous with their history and destiny.
It is very interesting to read about Edo people around the globe. It is unfortunate that the various leaders we have in Nigeria have not done any justice to our civilization in our own land. I am very happy about the purpose of this site and I will suggest that we keep anything that will not make us progress away from this site. For example: No 419, No impersonation (be real, give your real name), No fraud, Let's have fun, Let's cherish the beauty of our homeland, etc. I am a native of Oghada (Off Benin-Agbor Road) in Edo State but now resident in London.
A wealth of intriguing and thought provoking imformation. I especially enjoyed the article "A Brief History of The Edo Speaking People of West Africa". I like the general layout of the site. Some of the backgrounds, however, seem to a be a bit cluttered.
It was overwhelming seeing old faces again, I thought I'd never have the opportunity of establishing contact with progeny of our Alma Mater; this site was a fantastic idea and I hope it would attract all the old students of Staff School, UDSS and UNIBEN. I believe this forum would keep our memories alive, and perhaps remind us of those amongst us who have passed away; we have a history.
Interesting reading , very resourceful....
the site is coming up very well. i will keep in touch henceforth. well done.
Hi Ehi.If you remember campus,we were once neighbours(1990-1993) I graduated from UDSS in 1993.I also went to staff school and i had fun singing the songs which were posted.Good job!Keep it up!

This site is a GEM. I have been out of the country now for a while and have found out that the old cliche "there is no place like home" hasn't lost its meaning! I am very proud to be an Edo.I am very proud of my roots and my culture and everything about it-- the sufferings and the good times, the festivals, the sculptures, works of art e.t.c. I always give talks on the Edo culture and people all over the world are always fascinated. When I come back home,I would appreciate things better Thank you edofolks.com for your efforts. Oba gha to kpe e Ise! PS Anyone that wants to contact me should please do. I've got room for all.
