Hello all, I apologise for not constructing the guestbook earlier. I had the usual hosting compatibility problems when I changed the hosting company. Anyway, here we are and please make the best of the site. Thanks.

Ehi, remember me? We used to play table to soccer together in JSS 3. I remember you always thrashed my ass! Anyway just a short note to say how impressed I am with your site. I now reside in the UK but I'm keen to get in touch with anyone who remembers me. I would like to also know if I am the first former student of UDSS to study at Cambridge University, England. Hi Pal, You have done a great job!!!!! My apportioned grade is 8 as I seggest that the site be updated with current info. This may be hard and time-consuming but I believe that with more contacts it will get BETTER. I like the presence of old DEMONSTRATION KIDS in the Guest Book. I enjoyed going through it and being able to get some contacts of long lost classmate. KEEP THE FLAME ALIVE! Osamuyi [Finished UDSS: 1988 & USS: 1983]

I would Like to know what my first and Last names mean. I would really appreciate it if someone who really knows, can tell me the origin of my last name. Sad but true, I am one of the Edo men who did not grow up speaking their mother tongue. I hear about 4 languages, but can only communicate in English. I would gladly appreciate any long term help/remedy to my Edo speaking void. God bless

What's up ekhator how you dey? Anyway to the question whether athletes should rep other countries....what it really comes down to is whether Nigeria or other african countries support our fellow country men/women in their sports endeavours...if whomever is in charge with picking who should go to any meet representing their country and it depends on which tribe I'm in and not how I perform....I'll be the first in line representing antartica for their skiing or basketball team if they sponsor me and give me all the support I need...after all nowadays you need the funds from endorsements to continue eating abi...so if another country is willing to go out their way to support you for whatever event and your country still trying to find out if your yoruba or Ibo... you better go and join the JAMAICAN BOBSLED TEAM!!!!!!! jUST ONE oPINION mORE DISCUSSIONS PLEASE.....AND EHI i'VE EMAILED YOU TWICE WHAT GIVES.......HOLLA AT YOUR BOY....ONE!! In case you want to know about me i am a young female in my senior year of high school and I am getting ready to go to the illinois institute of Art, where I am going to study visual communications. I love this site. I was so delighted to discover that there was a site for ex-UDSS students. I finished from the 2002 set. Ehi, I love what you've achieved here. It's artistic and innovative. All my UDSS people, keep it real. Love all y'all.

this is a direct comment to ralph. this is no diss but i think maybe it would be better if u invent a website of yor own, which could be "fun". Ehi has done a great job, and for your infomation a guest book can just be to hola at your old friends, if u wanna talk about your past experiences,go ahead but dont you say the site is wack, keep your opinons to your self and i think this website is soooo nice. ahhh... now i have gotten that out of the way, this is a shout out to the millenium set and also to the set of '97 to that special somebody(u know who you are i aint gonna say bcos u would be mad) but whenever you read this know that i really care about you.

You guys need to check out Ehi's book. It is so informative. In fact, I am going to use it in my political/religion classes. You guys need to get a copy not just to support Ehi, but to read this amazing book. I saw his interview about the book on Channel 5 (Comcast cable) in Atlanta by Africantreasures.com. He also got a good book review on Nigeriaworld.com. You can get it on Amazon.com or http://www.1stbooks.com/bookview/19095 Dr. peterson

I thought you might find this abstract useful, it talks about the prescence of Benin genes in Oman: Am J Hematol. 2000 May;64(1):39-46. Genetic epidemiology of HbS in Oman: multicentric origin for the betaS gene. Daar S, Hussain HM, Gravell D, Nagel RL, Krishnamoorthy R. Department of Hematology, College of Medicine, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. On the basis of a sample of 117 chromosomes, we have demonstrated the multicentric origin of the sickle mutation in Northern Oman. Three major haplotypes coexist: 52.1% Benin (typical and atypicals), 26.7% Arab-India, and 21.4% Bantu. These haplotypes are not autochthonous to Oman but originated elsewhere and arrived in Oman by gene flow. The distribution of haplotypes is in excellent agreement with the historical record, which establishes clear ancient contacts between Oman and sub-Sahara west Africa and explains the presence of the Benin haplotype; contacts with Iraq, Iran, present-day Pakistan, and India explain the presence of the Arab-India haplotype. More recent contacts with East Africa (Zanzibar/Mombasa) explain the presence of the Bantu haplotype. The pattern of the Arab-India haplotype in the populations of the Arabian peninsula reinforces the hypothesis that this particular mutation originated in the Harappa culture or in a nearby population and in addition reveals that the Sassanian Empire might have been the vehicle by which this Indo-European sickle mutation migrated (gene flow) to the present-day Arabian peninsula, including Oman.

Now thats what I'm talking about fatai ibrahim, keep the flow of that knowlege pouring, please we all appreciate it.... But stemming along what you were treating us....I was informed through family and village members that most nigerians i.e. Ibo's, Bini's, yoruba's, ijaw's, itstekiri's etc. migrated from the lower Nile area of the old ethiopian empire or early egyptian empire.....( since the white world wants to believe that egypt was the first civilization, obviously afraid of great empires that egypt emulated their style from but thats another story) thanks for the knowledge though.......,..

From: "Samuel Burnham" <samres@hotmail.com> Subject: King Leopolds Letter to colonial missionaries Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 15:22:09 This was found on BET message boards. Many black scholars of local and global black history have referenced this letter from King Leopold of Belgium. For those of you who are not familiar with him. He is the man who started the practice of amputating arms, legs, etc. that we NOW SEE IN LIBERIA and SIERRA LEONE. To realize that these warring are copying the wicked practice of the Belgian leader of the Congo in the late 1800s and early 1900's shows the level at which self-hatred has been ingrained into people of African decent: Posted on BET message boards by Aguil. Brothers and sisters, the following speech was given by King Leopold II of Belgium in 1883... "Reverends, Father, and Dear Compatriots: The task that is given to us to fulfill is very delicate and requires much tact. You will go certainly to evangelize, but your evangelization must inspire above all Belgium interests. Your principal objective in our mission in the Congo is never to teach the niggers to know God. Thus they know already. They speak and submit to a Mungu, one Nzambi, one Nzakomba, and what else I don't know. They know that to kill, to sleep with someone else's wife, to lie and to insult is bad. Have courage to admit it; you are not going to teach them what they know already. Your essential role is to facilitate the task of administrators and industrials, which means you will go to interpret the gospel in the way it will be the best to protect your interests in that part of the world. For these things, you have to keep watch on disinteresting our savages from the richness that is plenty in their underground. To avoid that they get interested in it, and make you a murderous competition and dream one day to overthrow you. Your knowledge of the gospel will allow you to find texts ordering, and encouraging your followers to love poverty. Like happier are the poor because they will inherit the heaven and it's very difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God. You have to detach from them and make them disrespect everything which gives courage to affront us. I make reference to their Mystic System and their war fetish - warfare protection - which they pretend not to want to abandon, and you must do everything in your power to make it disappear. Your action will be directed essentially to the younger ones, for they won't revolt when the recommendation of the priest is contradictory to their parent's teachings. The children have to learn to obey what the missionary recommends, who is the father of their soul. You must singularly insist on their total submission and obedience, avoid developing the spirits in the schools, teach students to read and not to reason. There, dear compatriots, are some of the principles that you must apply. You will find many other books, which will be given to you at the end of this conference. Evangelize the niggers so that they stay forever in submission to the white colonialists, so they never revolt against the restraints they are undergoing. Recite every day - "happy are those who are weeping because the kingdom of God is for them." Convert always the blacks by using the whip. Keep their women in nine months of submission to work freely for us. Force them to pay you in sign of recognition - goats, chickens or eggs - every time you visit their villages. And make sure that niggers never become rich. Sing every day that it's impossible for the rich to enter heaven. Make them pay tax each week at Sunday mass. Use the money supposed for the poor, to build flourishing business centres. Institute a confessional system, which allows you to be good detectives denouncing any black that has a different consciousness contrary to that of the decision-maker. Teach the niggers to forget their heroes and to adore only ours. Never present a chair to a black that comes to visit you. Don't give him more than one cigarette. Never invite him for dinner even if he gives you a chicken every time you arrive at his house." (Mr. Moukouani Mukwani Bukoko, born in 1915, transmitted this text to us; he obtained it by good luck in 1935. Moukouani Mukwani Bukoko was a nurse at Kwamuth (Congo) Bolobo, and bought a Bible. This text was in that Bible. Surely the priest had forgotten it by mistake.) -----Original Message----- From: Pawell Okelo [mailto:opawell@yahoo.com Sent: Monday, December 06, 2004 8:28 PM To: Africare-newpublications@yahoogroups.com; Africa-politics@yahoogroups.com; chatafrik@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Africare-newpublications] Speech by King Leopold II I visited unitednewafrica.com and found especially the speech by King Leopold II of Belgium delivered in 1883 to Belgium missionaries heading to Africa very informative. We all do not have all the solutions to our problems, but in our little ways like what is coming out of unitednewafrica.com, I think we individually can do the little we can to see that successes are realised by these many efforts. I am making this comment with the hope that most of these efforts are genuine, with deep beliefs in improving African conditions. You can peruse the speech, if you haven't yet, at the wesite. I can't even express the happiness and joy to see such great articles coming out from our fellow compatroits.... and realize how deep colonialism has penetrated and still affects us in or daily livelyhood. Unfortunately we all have two eyes but we all can't see, and their is no better way than coming out of this crab basket but by gathering the fellowship of all true spirits in the truth and "the light" and bring Africa out of the metaphorical darkness. You can't imagine how many arguments one has had with our so called clergymen ranging from the late Arch. Bish. Idahosa to Bishop TD Jakes... The Bible Is our story being told and interpreted to us in another mans language , culture and ideolgies ofcourse we're always going to look worst and cursed and lies will be told...after all it is all written in the Bible(Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) You just somtimes have to be able to use that third eye and go through all the"bullshit" they've also incorporated in the "Good Book" I so much love the article......Also one should check out the Story of the First Civilzation and how early Egypt(B.C) emulated their style.(i.e Ethiopia) Oh yeah Sorry to hurt anybodies feelings with the truth........

Great Page!!! If you're bored check out my non-related one. It has fossil and mineral collecting locality information, a fossil trading booth, photos, and more. I have an extensive collection of 300 million year old museum quality fossil fern display slabs for sale or trade. You can also buy wholesale or trade fossils, crystals, minerals, and books.
